Authors like to write in a familiar, user-friendly authoring environment. The Trisoft CMS supports and integrates with all leading XML authoring tools such as XMetaL, Arbortext Editor, Adobe FrameMaker, to word processing oriented solutions such as In.Vision Xpress Author and can even come with an integrated web forms XML authoring environment. The integration between the Trisoft CMS and the authoring tool can be loosely or tightly coupled. Such a tight coupling is available through Trisoft's Authoring Bridge.
Apart from this, the Trisoft CMS also integrates with tools as SDL AuthorAssistant™ to enhance the quality and efficiency of the global authoring process.
The Trisoft CMS stores the structure of your different publications separately from the information modules. An information module is a document component in which a certain topic (a procedure, a process, …) is described. A module is the smallest document component that exists on its own and is therefore the best level of granularity for single sourcing. The Trisoft CMS promotes re-use on topics since this is the most author and management friendly way.
When writing in a modular way in view of an increased re-use of content, it is important to have an information architecture in place. This enables you to plan re-use instead of counting on accidental re-use. The Trisoft CMS supports the market leading standards such as DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) or IMAP (Information Mapping). The Trisoft CMS can however also easily be configured for specific, custom built information architectures or designs.
Providing correct and up-to-date information on sophisticated products is a great challenge for many companies. Trisoft CMS solves the problem of managing the flow of technical information from authoring through publication out to world wide global audiences.
