If so, you won't want to miss this webinar - the fourth installment in our S1000D webinar series. We introduce the concept of an IETP and show how IETPs handle S1000D mechanisms such as applicability and process data modules. We also share best practices for the IETP creation process and lessons learned along the way.
Guest Speakers:
Ed Hougardy - Programmer Analyst, AWS Training and Support Systems - The Boeing Company
Rhonda Wainwright - S1000D & IETP Specialist - SDL
IETPs, also knows as IETMs or Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, allow your information consumers to benefit from the intelligence you've authored into your structured content. For example, using applicability/effectivity in an IETP enables users to filter out any information that is not relevant to the current equipment and environmental conditions. Likewise, S1000D process data modules provide for interactive fault isolation and troubleshooting, with easy navigation to the appropriate procedures based upon user interactions. IETPs also enable the use of multimedia such as video, animations, simulations, wire highlighting, sheet-to-sheet navigation, 3D models, virtual task training, digital photographs, and much more. In fact, we will be covering multimedia in depth in our next S1000D webinar in September.
